ARTIST INFORMATION
When we held our first Munny show in 2006, our vision was to bring the D-I-Y art toy movement to the Detroit area. Thanks to the many artists who have contributed to our past shows, we've had many unbelievable submissions by both established and first-time artist. We're looking forward to another amazing display of talent this summer.
Munny shows at LIFT remain free & open for all to enter. So whether you're 9 or 79 and live near or far, you're invited to participate and show us the Munny!
Participation Steps
1. For this show, we have added a pre-registration requirement. This will help us to better prepare for the show and ensure that all artists are credited on the website. Please click on the link below and submit your information as soon as possible. If for some reason we are totally swamped with submissions and have to turn away artists, the early birds get preference.
2. Buy a Munny! LIFT has a full selection of Series 4 in stock. As a participating artist, you may purchase a standard sized Munny at the special price of $20.00 (regularly $25.00).
3. Design your Munny! Remember that this is a MUNNY show so if you want to include something on a non-Munny platform please let us know in advance. We're not saying 'NO' automatically but you won't be eligible for prizes. You may submit any size Munny (mini, standard or MEGA). Remember to sign your piece (most artists sign on the bottom of a foot).
4. You will also need to complete and sign an artist contract for the show. We made things a bit easier this time around by posting it in Word format so you can type rather than handwrite if you prefer. Remember that we need your contract with your submission. You can also send it earlier via fax, email or snail mail.
5. Submit your Munny. Either drop it off in person or ship to us. Remember to ship so that it arrives on or before August 4th. If you think you're going to miss the deadline, you must contact us for permission to submit late.
OPTIONAL: You are also welcome to email us photo shoots of your creation. We'll use these on the website. Otherwise, we'll take rather plain and dull (but fully functional) photos of your piece.
